- That’s a good looking cappuccino. And you made it yourself!
So you drink coffee on the daily and you are beginning to notice something. Heading to the local coffee shop every morning gets a tad spendy.
In a rush? My Fav: Check out the APEC at Amazon!
And while you’re perfectly capable of brewing yourself a cup of joe at home, you really prefer something a little more involved. Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos.
Well, the good news is that you are not alone. I too went through this phase in my coffee life. I didn’t want to shell out the dollars for someone else to make my drinks, but I didn’t quite think my home coffee machine was up to the task of making me a mocha.
Brew it yourself
Guess what? I’ve got other good news. You can make the switch to brewing espresso at home. Espresso is essentially still coffee, but it uses a higher quality coffee bean with a much different brewing technique, and the results you get from it give you an infinitely more potent hit of caffeine as well as a much bolder flavor profile.
What’s espresso machine should you get?
The only thing you need to do now is to purchase the equipment necessary to make your espresso in the morning. Unless of course, you feel like spending the majority of your hard earned cash on overpriced cups of it from coffee houses. When I got my machine, my budget was under $300.

Wrap – Up
Making the switch from somebody else’s coffee to lattes and cappuccinos made in your own kitchen will change the way your bank balance looks at the end of the week. And going from just cream and sugar to foamy, flavor-bursting drinks is an overall great move. Espresso is just objectively more exciting than coffee.
But you can’t complete your transformation without getting your own equipment and making the lattes yourself. The best espressos aren’t make by a barista. The best espressos are made by you.
