If you just need a cup of tea for one, there’s zero reason to pour tons of water into your 3-liter tea kettle.
Of course, you could always just fill up your regular kettle only to as high as you need for one cup, but sometimes you don’t feel like pulling a giant kettle out of the cabinet for a small amount of tea.
That is why today we are going to look at some tea kettles that are made for one. And we’re going to look at durable ones so we’re going with stainless steel.
The smallest kettles on the market are ones that are under 2 litre capacity. That’s where our search begins.
Fino Pour Over Coffee and Tea Kettle
This is a decently priced small tea kettle that won’t give you much more than two servings of tea. It has a 4.25 cup capacity, so it is good for one person who likes two cups of their favorite tea (or two people who are only going to drink one cup each).
It has a narrow, gooseneck spout, giving precise control during the pour. This is nice because a slow, smooth pour helps get more flavor out of your tea bag or infuser.
This is a small, uncomplicated tea kettle with a simple handle. It is made in Japan using 18/8 stainless steel, so it is very durable. It works on gas, electric, and ceramic stovetops. Plus, it is dishwasher safe.
Should you get this one?
This is beautifully simple kettle that heats up fairly quickly. The style is classic and uncomplicated and looks like a tea kettle for someone who knows their way around a tea leaf. The price is nice too.
AMFOCUS Whistling Stainless Steel Stove Top Kettle
This is a gorgeous tea kettle that will bring a nice shine to your kitchen without taking up a bunch of space. Its modern stainless steel design looks good and maintains a high level of functionality.
It has a stay cool handle with slip resistant grips, so you won’t be liable to drop the kettle while pouring yourself a hot cup of tea.
It also has a precision pouring design letting you get a perfect pour every time you make a drink. The spout makes sure you always have complete control of the amount that you are pouring.
It’s made from food-grade quality stainless steel. It has an aesthetic thin base for efficient and even heating.
This AMFOCUS product is safe to use on all stovetop surfaces and will not scratch ceramic or glass stoves. Its two-quart capacity means you can even invite family to tea!
Should you purchase this kettle?
This kettle offers pretty good quality at a very reasonable price point. The spout has a convenient dust-proof design that is airtight and leakproof, too.
Bonavita BV3825ST 1-Liter Stovetop Kettle
This single person kettles has BPA-free plastic handles and brushed stainless steel. It is also dishwasher safe.
Like most other single serve tea kettles, it has a gooseneck spout to give you better pouring control when making your drink. Its heat resistant grip makes it easy for you to pour your drink without having to worry about burning yourself.
Should you purchase this one?
This is a very good tea kettle, and you won’t be disappointed with it once you have purchased it. It would be nice if the handles and knob were silicone instead of plastic to avoid melting. But it does keep down on the cost without sacrificing brew quality.
Wrap – Up
A small tea kettle makes sense if you only make a small amount of tea. A single person kettle is a good investment for you, without sacrificing quality. Any of these three will do well for you, but my personal favorite is the Zell kettle.
