A new and accurate set of measuring spoons make baking a joy.

A little measuring mistake can make a big difference in cooking. It can make a huge difference in baking. This is why you want the most accurate measuring spoons you can find on the market for your kitchen.

These spoons measure up: I like the Prepworks by Progressive Magnetic Spoons.

Believe it or not, many manufacturers may not have exact measurements in every set of measuring spoons. Certain design flaws or the manufacturing process itself can dilute the preciseness of the measurement tools.

Prepworks Stainless Steel measuring spoons are a favorite across the board. They happen to be a #1 best seller for a reason. Everyone who buys a set seems to rave about them. And when you’re raving about a set of measuring spoons, you know you’re dealing with something pretty special.

Accurate measurements

It comes with five spoons, ranging from ¼ teaspoon to 1 tablespoon, all dishwasher safe. And all are impeccably accurate.

What sets the prepworks set apart from the competition is their magnetic storage feature. In the center of each spoon is a magnet, which allows them to stick together easily and not get lost in the mix of your utensil drawer. The magnet also allows them to be stored on other metal surfaces for easy access, like a knife rack or even your oven.

Dual sided spoons

These measuring spoons also have spoons on each end, one for wet and one for dry ingredients. The dry ingredient side is oval, rather than round, allowing them to fit inside most standard spice jars. Genius!

Wet and dry measuring spoons ensures even more accuracy, and essentially gives you two sets for the price of one! Prepworks has the most economic and most accurate option for measuring spoons on the market.

Cuisipro Stainless Steel Measuring Spoon Set

Cuisipro Stainless Steel Measuring Spoon Set

Cuisipro comes in at a close second to Prepworks’ measuring spoon set. They are also stainless steel and dishwasher safe, and come with the same five spoon range from ⅛ to 1 tablespoon measurements. However, they do not have the dual option for wet and dry ingredients.

Some other beneficial aspects of the Cuisipro spoons is their heat, cold, and rust resistant features. They also have a removable ring for ease of use. One of the most attractive features of this set is its 25 year warranty, adding some peace of mind to buying these measuring spoons.

Oxo Good Grips Measuring Spoons, Stainless Steel

OXO Good Grips Measuring Spoons with Magnetic Snaps, Stainless Steel

Another great, very accurate set of measuring spoons is the Oxo “Good Grips” set. They are also stainless steel, which makes them durable, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. They boast comfortable grip handles that the other options lack, and also feature a removable ring for easy measuring.

Four spoons

However, this set only comes with four spoons. While the spoons themselves are very accurate in terms of their measurements, this isn’t as comprehensive of a set as other options. It includes ¼ teaspoon, ½ teaspoon, 1 teaspoon, and 1 tablespoon measurement options. The spoons themselves are also shorter than other sets, which may be an issue for you if you need to dig deep into certain ingredient containers.

Plastic Option: Prepworks by Progressive Snap Fit Measuring Spoons

The most economic of all the options also comes from Prepworks, but it is a plastic set of measuring spoons instead of the common stainless steel material.

Snap together

They have a similar setup to the Prepworks fit-together model, except they snap together instead of magnetically bonding. Some customers complain that the snaps wear out with time and use, making storage a potential issue.

The plastic is also thicker and more pliable than the stainless steel material, which may not be as efficient as you’d want in your kitchen. This is the most affordable option, while still being accurate. It’s just not going to be the longest lasting option.

Accuracy is important. These trusted and proven brands of measuring spoons will give you the results you want. I personally love the extra features of the Prepworks by Progressive magnetic spoons. I love that they store together neatly, but come apart easily (no messing with rings) and the narrower shape of the dry scoops save a lot of frustration when dealing with spice jars.
