Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel Cookware will help you cook like a pro at home.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set could very well be Cuisinart’s most popular cookware collection. The MultiClad set is proof that Cuisinart has become a brand that produces high-quality cookware.

The brushed stainless steel cookware set not only looks great in the kitchen but, more importantly, can produce superior results for even the most demanding chef.

To many people, Cuisinart is synonymous with the food processor since its founder, Carl Sontheimer, created the machine in 1973.

In 1989, the company was bought by Conair (yes, the blow-dryer company!). It has since expanded to produce quality cookware and other small kitchen appliances.

We love our Cuisinart’s MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-piece Cookware Set so much that we just had to write this review to share what’s so great about it. For home cooks on a budget or needing a slightly smaller alternative, we also review the 7-piece MultiClad Pro stainless steel set. We will show you why the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel Cookware Set, whether the 12- or 7- piece, is definitely a must-have for every kitchen.

When we review stainless steel cookware, we look at these six features to determine how good the product is: materials and construction, design and ergonomics, aesthetics and appearance, performance and warranty, heating capacity, and ease of cleaning.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro is without a doubt a beautiful stainless steel cookware set. More than that, Cuisinart constructs the set using the efficient tri-ply system. It is durable and easy to use and clean.

Most important of all, the MultiClad Pro’s heating capacity can provide even and quick heating. This is made possible by its aluminum core and heat-surround technology.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece set includes the following items:

  • 8-inch fry skillet
  • 10-inch fry skillet
  • 1.5-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 3-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 3.5-quart saute pan (with lid)
  • 8-quart stockpot (with lid)
  • steamer insert (with lid)

Materials and Construction

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro set is constructed using a tri-ply stainless steel construction system. It has a pure aluminum core that is sandwiched between the stainless steel interior and exterior.

This type of construction is not only along the bottom of the cookware, but also extends to the entire body of the pots and pans. Each cool-grip handle is riveted securely to the lid and sides.

The lids are flat and stainless steel and feature a tall, square stainless steel handle.

Design and Ergonomics

The Cuisinart cookware comes with a simple and classic design. All the pieces of the set have the same look. That makes some lids interchangeable with different pots and pans.

This line furthermore features an updated handle design that has a comfortable and controlled grip. The saucepans, sauté pans, and skillets are fitted with long stick handles that are ergonomically designed with a thumb rest for an easy grip.

The pots and pans feature a curved lip to allow drip-free pouring of the contents.

Aesthetics and Appearance

The shiny metal design will blend in well in any type of kitchen. The interior has a beautiful mirror-like finish, which contrasts perfectly with its brushed stainless steel exterior.

Both of these finishing types can resist scorching well and can stay in perfect condition for a long time if the cookware is used and maintained properly.

The top of each pot or pan’s rim has a small strip of mirror-polished metal that adds an additional touch of elegance to the stainless steel 12-piece cookware.

Performance and Warranty

The triple-ply construction makes cooking effortless, making it possible for even the novice cook to obtain that professional flair. It is great for every cooking technique there is: sautéing, frying, searing, steaming, and slow simmering.

The stainless steel cooking surface does not react adversely with food, alter the flavor, or change food color.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro has a lifetime warranty against defects, proving that Cuisinart stands by the durability and longevity of its products. This assurance will make cooks more confident in having healthier, more flavorful results when cooking.

It goes without saying that reasonable care should be taken for the set to last and can be surely passed down to the next generation.

Heating Capacity

The aluminum core of the triple ply makes for an excellent heat conductor that can spread heat evenly through the sides and bottoms of the pans.

The set works perfectly well with both conventional and induction stovetops.

The cookware is also safe to use in the oven at baking temperature up to 500°F.

Cleaning

Hand-washing with lukewarm water and liquid dish detergent is recommended when cleaning the cookware. If you happen to have a sticky mess, you can soak your pan in hot soapy water for a while. Otherwise, the MultiClad Pro stainless steel cookware is easy to clean.

It is best to use a non-lemon dish detergent on this set. To remove stuck food particles, use a soft cloth or a sponge.

Never use steel wool or coarse metal pads that could scratch the finish.

Sometimes, the remains from other dishes might be abrasive. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.

The set is dishwasher safe but if carelessly packed with other dishes, the cookware surface may be marred. We recommend that if you do choose to wash this set in the dishwasher, pack it carefully so that it does not touch any other dish or cookware to avoid unsightly scratches.

This set has just enough pots and pans to supply the kitchen of both seasoned and beginner cooks alike.

You will get the same quality and durability as that of the 12-piece Cuisinart MultiClad Pro stainless cookware set, but at a lower price.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless 7-Piece set includes the following items:

  • 10-inch skillet
  • 1.5-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 3-quart saucepan (with lid)
  • 8-quart stockpot (with lid)

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 7-Piece Cookware Set is a great, less expensive alternative.

Cuisinart Multi-Clad Pro Final Verdict

If you’re looking for a quality cookware set that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel set is the one for you. Both the 12- and 7-piece sets offer an excellent value that carries the Cuisinart brand name.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro uses Heat Surround technology that provides even heating and excellent heat retention. The set has a highly brushed exterior and mirror-like interior finish.

Most of the pieces have ergonomically designed handles which are riveted securely to the sides of the pots. Since they are made from thinner stainless steel than the body, they can stay cool, even during cooking.

A small strip of mirror-polished metal is added on top of each rim to add an elegant touch to the set. The rim itself is tapered for easy and mess-free pouring.

The MultiClad Pro set can be used on any stovetop including the induction type. It is oven-safe up to 500°F.

It is dishwasher-safe, but hand washing is recommended to prevent the cookware surface to be marred and scratched.

The Cuisinart MCP 12-N MultiClad Pro falls in the middle price range based on the number of pieces included in the set. We think, though, that the set should include one or two medium-sized pieces. It has a big stockpot and small pieces but nothing in between. A 5-quart sauté pan or a 5-quart saucepan would be welcome additions to the Cuisinart set.

Some people might prefer a glass lid over the stainless steel that the set has. They want to see their food being cooked without lifting the lid.

Aesthetics meet functionality in the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel Set–at an affordable price.

It can cater to the demands of any professional chef. At the same time, it gives those who are just starting to discover the joy of cooking a cookware set that is versatile enough to do all the necessary tasks in the kitchen.

PROS:

  • 3-ply stainless steel construction
  • Highly brushed exterior and mirror-like finish interior
  • Heats quickly and evenly
  • Handles riveted securely for durability
  • Drip-free pouring
  • Ergonomic easy-grip handles of pots and pans
  • Does not react to food or alter flavors
  • Induction stovetop compatible and oven-safe up to 500°F
  • Easy to clean and maintain
  • Lifetime warranty against defects

CONS:

  • Lids of pots and pans are stainless steel so you can’t see the food inside
  • Bundle has small pieces and one big stockpot but missing medium-sized pieces

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Cookware made?

Cuisinart has most of its products, including the MultiClad Pro line, manufactured in China. The notable exception is their French Classic cookware line, which is made in (surprise!) France.

What does MultiClad mean?

When cookware is multiclad, it means that it is constructed from layers of different metals. In the case of the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro cookware, there is a pure aluminum core sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel.

This combination provides even heat distribution along the bottoms and sidewalls of the cookware. There will be no hotspots when the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro set is used.

Is Cuisinart stainless steel cookware good?

It comes from Cuisinart, so there is no question that it is. The brand’s commitment to making quality innovative products continues with its stainless steel cookware line. It is composed of Chef’s Classic, Contour, French Classic, and MultiClad Pro.

The MultiClad Pro is Cuisinart’s most popular set among its stainless cookware line, if not the brand’s entire product line itself.

What type of stainless steel does Cuisinart use?

Cuisinart uses 18/10 grade stainless steel. Stainless cookware that is 18/10 means it contains 18 percent chromium and 10 percent nickel. The higher the nickel content, the more protection it gets from corrosion, and the longer it can hold polish.

The stainless steel that Cuisinart uses ensures a long-lasting finish. It is also a dishwasher, freezer, and oven safe.
